Dr. J. Morgan O'Donoghue is now Vice President of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons

One of "America's Top Dermatologists" has just been elected as the Vice President of the largest state organization of dermatologic surgeons in the country.

SARASOTA, Florida (September 23, 2014) – In a ceremony held this past Saturday, September 20th, during the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons (FSDS) at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Dr. J. Morgan O'Donoghue was elected Vice President of the FSDS. While at the meeting, Dr. O'Donoghue presented a lecture entitled: "Office Efficiency: Lowering Overhead While Enhancing Patient Satisfaction in Your Surgical Practice."

The mission of the FSDS is to promote the highest possible standard of dermatologic surgery, provide continuing education for the purpose of ensuring the highest professional quality of dermatologic surgery, provide a forum for the exchange of ideas & methodology for dermatologic surgery & related basic sciences, and to recognize those physicians who have become proficient in dermatologic surgery.

"It's an honor to serve on the board of the largest state organization of dermatologic surgeons in the country and I'm proud of the work that I have done as a member of the board and as a part of their educational faculty" said Dr. O'Donoghue.

Dr. J. Morgan O'Donoghue is a graduate of the prestigious Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans and went on to do his residency in Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. O'Donoghue has had numerous scientific articles published in national peer-reviewed dermatology journals and is currently working on his a book about skin cancer prevention.

Dr. O'Donoghue is certified by the American Board of Dermatology, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a board member and fellow of the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons. He is a proud member of the American Medical Association and the Sarasota County Medical Association, and he is a staff member at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. His many accolades include "America's Top Physicians", "Patients' Choice Award", "Best Dermatologist in Sarasota", "America's Top Dermatologist", and "Most Compassionate Doctor Award".
