O'Donoghue Dermatology now offers the state-of-the-art LightSheer™ Diode Laser System

Leading dermatology practice sets a new standard for laser hair removal in Sarasota.

SARASOTA, Florida (January 16, 2014) – In response to their patient's ever-increasing demand for the removal of unwanted hair, O'Donoghue Dermatology, one of the area's top medical and cosmetic dermatology practices, has recently purchased the new LightSheer™ Diode Laser System. This high-powered laser is the most versatile and pain-free long-term hair removal system available today.

With a library of clinically documented successes, the LightSheer™ Diode Laser System sets a new standard in permanent hair reduction technology and it can safely and effectively treat all skin tones and virtually any area of the body. The LightSheer's patented Chill Tip™ hand piece minimizes patient discomfort by providing a cooling, anesthetic effect while compressing the skin with its integrated sapphire tip to allow the laser to come closer to the base of the hair follicle without causing thermal damage to the surrounding skin.

The LightSheer™ Diode Laser System emits a nearly infrared laser light that is pulsed for a fraction of a second, just long enough to damage the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding epidermis. "This revolutionary laser system was specifically designed to remove unwanted hair faster, more comfortably and with fewer visits than any other product on the market, and it works on any skin tone because you can adjust the fluence and pulse width of the laser." said Dr. O'Donoghue.
